Round Six of the Weldwell NZ Formula First National Championship at Hampton Downs was held over the weekend.

Again we were a support class for the International Toyota Racing Series.

Former Speedsport Scholarship Winner Nick Cassidy won the NZ Motor Cup, Surviving three Saftey car restarts to take the win.

 

Trade Zone Speedsport Scholarship Winner Malcolm Finch had his best meeting so far this Series scoring the Highest Points tally of the Series so far.

Qualifying 4th with a top placing of 5th to his credit.

Finch holds 8th place in the series  standings with 2 rounds to go.

 

The meeting also saw the Debut of Tennille Hancock driving the Teams number 20 car, this was her first car race of any kind and she showed a good level of driving, recording personnal best times on every outing.

Sabre is hoping Tennille will do more racing with the Team, her passion and enthusiasim was a tonic for the Team.
